Jogoya

Went to check out the new talk of the town Japanese Buffet in StarHill called Jogoya. I am sure by now, some of you must have heard it and been reading blogs about Jogoya. And now, me adding on to other blogs about Jogoya.
Alright, a brief description about Jogoya. Jogoya is a famous japanese buffet chain from Taiwan. Unlike the likes of Saisaki and Shogun, Jogoya is meant to be more high class, spacious and with more varieties of food. You would be surprised, they have all kind of teas. There is the usual buffet style counters where you go and take what you want to eat but there is also a cooked food counter where you place your table clip (which my friend conveniently took it back for souvenir purposes) in a bowl in front of a sample of the dish you want, the chef will cook it and send it to your table.
The verdict:-
I would say, you have plenty to choose from, but I prefer Saisaki for the sashimi and especially the soy sauce (Kikkoman). In Jogoya, their soy sauce tastes a bit sweet. Dont quite like the taste. The oysters are fresh. The teppanyaki, so so only. The 'Siew Long Pau' not bad. Cooked food (i.e. chilli crab, prawn, steam cod fish, vegetables, etc) normal. In fact, you cant eat that much too, unless you are good eater and can stuff yourself with all the food they have there, then it's worth it. Neways, no harm trying.
